TW&A, on behalf of the Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority, acted as program manager for the Mohawk Harbor project in Schenectady, NY.  In this role, TW&A: (1) developed a Master Milestone Schedule for the project; (2) ran regular meetings with interested parties including the City of Schenectady, the developer and its consultants, Rivers Casino and its consultants, National Grid and other utilities; (3) produced meeting minutes detailing measurable deliverables and monitored progress against schedule, schedule impact issues and other issues important to the success of the project; (4) assisted the City of Schenectady in coordinating the schedule and logistics for installing public utilities needed for the site; and (5) oversaw the National Grid and Verizon utility coordination. TW&A also assisted in the coordination of outside projects to ensure that such projects would not affect the Master Schedule of Mohawk Harbor, including the Nott Street/Erie Boulevard Roundabout, Renovation of Erie Boulevard and the Nott Street Bridge removal and replacement.

TW&A is acting as Owner’s Representative for the construction of a new North Ferry Pump Station. The original pump station, built in 1913, was breached by flood waters during Tropical Storm Irene in 2011. The project includes a 106′ diameter support of excavation system, active deep well dewatering and bulk excavation for a four-story concrete pump station.  TW&A is assisting the City with project management, public interface with residents, scheduling, cost control and construction monitoring. TW&A is an WBE subconsultant to CHA Consulting, the project engineers.

TW&A acted as owner’s representative to Rock City Centre, LLC with respect to its $7.2 million renovation of an existing one-story building into a two-story building with a rooftop deck. Rock City Centre will use the building as its corporate headquarters and provide a flex workspace for remote professional and non-profits. TW&A’s scope of work included pre-construction and design coordination, development of a master milestone schedule, development of a project budget, construction contract bidding, assistance with construction contracting, project cost control, document control, construction monitoring and project closeout. The project was completed on time (after considering delays due to COVID) and under budget.

TW&A, on behalf of the Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority, acted as Construction Manager for Gateway Plaza, a $1.7mm park renovation in Schenectady, NY. TW&A was involved throughout the project from the initial design phase until final completion in November 2017.  Gateway Plaza was awarded the NY Upstate ASLA 2019 Merit Award for Built Design.

The project consisted of removal of old roof and masonry, repairs, and replacing the roof with a historically accurate slate roof and parapets.
