Proctor's Theater

Construction Value: $22m
Location: Schenectady, NY
Assignment: Financer Representative
Completion: 2005
Client: Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority

The Proctor’s Theater is the historic “Crown Jewel” of downtown Schenectady. This wonderful, historic vaudeville theater consisting of 2,700 seats was expanded from 67,000 sq. ft. to 132,000 sq. ft. of operations space. Work included expansion and technical upgrade of the main stage house. In addition, the adjoining building, the former Carl Company, was renovated to contain the main stage support for Proctor’s Theater as well as a new 450 seat Black Box Theater with large format imaging, such as IMAX and IWERKS. TW&A represented the Schenectady Metroplex Authority’s interest in this project which included budget and schedule review.
