TW&A acted as Design Builder/Construction Manager for the Franklin/Liberty Lot Reconstruction & pedestrian walkway project. TW&A assembled and led a team of local architects, engineers and trade contractors to address Metroplex’s desire to enhance traffic flow and parking within the Franklin/Liberty parking lot. The design also incorporates the new Center City Walk from Liberty Street to Franklin Street. This unique and inspiring pathway with modern decorative lighting and ornamental fencing provides a welcoming and secure atmosphere while incorporating two iconic monument signs with updatable message boards.

TW&A acted as Design Builder for the Jay Walk Alley Arch Lighting program. TW&A built and led a team of local designers and trade contractors to address Metroplex’s desire to provide distinctive and attractive lighting in two of Jay Walks dark alleys. In addition to providing a safe well lit atmosphere, way finding from and to the adjacent parking lots needed to be addressed, all while providing a design that local business owner were comfortable with. TW&A’s team came up with a completely custom Alley Arch Lighting system that exceeded all of these requirements according to Metroplex.

TW&A acted as Program Manager assisting and advising Metroplex as well as the City of Schenectady for the successful implementation of the “Center City” Phase 3 downtown redevelopment plan.

TW&A acted as Program Manager assisting and advising Metroplex as well as the City of Schenectady for the successful implementation of the “Center City” Phase 3 downtown redevelopment plan. This mixed-use redevelopment is the entire 400 block of State Street including Center City, YMCA, Paul Mitchell Building and Center City parking. Scope included project development advisement, design and negotiations assistance, monitoring SEQRA process, project and contract oversight, establish and monitoring construction logistics, coordination of construction activities including interface between all involved parties, development and maintenance of overall program schedule, and community interface with adjacent property owners and business. TW&A also, chaired comprehensive coordination meetings, inspired team-oriented communication between all involved parties, developed and maintained overall program schedule as well as established and monitored construction activities and logistics to ensure safe procedure. TW&A’s original contract was also renewed for this work, which is currently enforced.
